fan ran, zheng player and a master student of central conservatory of music, started zheng course at the age of 4 and had her solo collection “busy weaving” recorded by art sound studio two years later. ever since then, she has won many prizes at national and international competitions and has enjoyed the reputation of “child prodigy”. she made her fame by winning the first prize on traditional zheng competition of china zheng art festival in july, 1996. in year 2002, after a well-received solo concert played in jing fan music hall, she was invited to perform in five u.s. cities. (new york, los angeles, washington, san francisco and chicago) in year 2005 she has won both silver prizes in the 5th golden-bell national music award and the wenhua cup national art government award at two of the most prestigious music
competitions in china. she successfully held a solo concert in beijing concert hall in may, 2007 and published cd and dvd in the following month.
